CTE Incentive Grant Allocations Announced
The allocation awards for the 2019-2020 CTE incentive grant were approved by the State Board of Education. Award amounts for each district are available on the Grants page of the CDE website.

CTE Incentive Grant Legislation
Assemblyman Patrick O’Donnell of California’s 70th district has introduced legislation that would make improvements to the current CTE Incentive Grant. If passed, the bill would:

· Increase funding for the CTE Incentive grant from the current $450 million to $600 million.

· Reduce the local match requirement from 2:1 to 1:1.

The legislation was passed by the State Assembly and now moves to the State Senate for consideration.

CTE Teacher Credentialing
The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing has established a special workgroup to study the current requirements for CTE credentialing with the goal of possibly making recommendations on updating the requirements to help better meet the demand for CTE teachers.

Dashboard Recommendations
The ACSA Accountability Task Force has been working on recommendations to the California School Dashboard. Some of the recommendations would strengthen how CTE classes are counted toward dashboard indicators and more accurately reflect the value of CTE classes in the overall picture of goals and results that the dashboard is meant to measure.

ACTE Leadership Conference
